The La Sportiva Futura pushed the limits of climbing shoe design and performance when it was released, and it can still push your climbing performance now. Spotiva’s classic “No-Edge” shoe brings you closer to the rock and increases contact surface area which both equal more friction on tiny holds. Combine this with a beautiful Slip lasted upper made from Suede leather and microfibre, speedy lacing system borrowed from the Solution and the P3 (Permanent Power Platform) midsole and you have one sweet shoe. 

 

The Futura Rock Climbing Shoe is great for indoor and outdoor bouldering, sport climbing, or anywhere that you need maximum friction on tiny holds or smears. It has a wider toe box then the likes of the Solution or Miura so those needing a bit more space will also appreciate it.

 

No-Edge design maximises the surface area in contact with the shoe under all conditions. Thanks to the reduced layers of rubber at the toe, the distance between the foot and the rock surface is reduced which enhances foot sensitivity on holds. Additionally, the absence of any edges allows the foot to exert even force on the inner side of the shoe; and climbers can now benefit from No-Edge technology in a lace shoe, not just a slipper. Ideally suited to ripples and shallow knobs on the rock.
