The La Sportiva TX4 Mid hiking boot sits at the more technical end of hikers. Its perfect for those people who love scrambling over rocks, like climbing steep tracks, or for a robust approach shoe for climbing. With many cues borrowed from the La Sportiva TX4 approach shoe, the mid version not only gives a rise in the ankle, but also beef’s up the support in the sole and around the heel and gives a little more cushioning. The Gore-Tex lining obviously makes it waterproof but also makes the mid version more viable for those hiking in colder climates as well.
