Petzl’s Sky Hook has been synonymous with aid and big wall climbing for decades, and many a tall tale hits its climax when the teller says “I was standing on a hook, 20 meters above my last piece of pro…”  Saying that, it doesn’t have to be all crazy. Use the Sky Hook on small crimps or horizontal scars, holes or other features to gain some more vertical ground or place as protection. When bolting or cleaning routes, use it wo hold yourself into the face as you work.
