Description
A game changer for modern alpine climbing or fast and light hiking, running or adventure travel. No need to contemplate cutting weight by sharing a sleeping bag with your climbing partner who hasn’t showered in a week, the Sea to Summit Flame series of bags are contenders for the best warmth to weight ratio of bags on the planet and specifically target those people who need to shed every gram and would possibly consider not taking a bag at all.
The Flame FmIV uses the highest possible quality of responsibly-sourced down, 850+ loft, Ultra-Dry water repellent European goose down, and an ultra-thin 10D nylon shell. It’s no slouch in the design department either: the contoured mummy shape, full hood and draft tubes (zip, neck & hood) conserve heat efficiently, and vertical chest baffles prevent migration when horizontal. At 890g this has to be the lightest -17°C bag in the world. All this and it fits in a 3.3 litre bag! Comes with compression sack and storage cell.
Because the bag is quite slim cut, it can also double as the world’s best liner bag to boost another sleeping bag for extreme cold conditions.
